Our Priority Sustainable Development Goals

FMI "Ubumuntu" aligns its work primarily with five Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG 1. No Poverty: We strengthen household resilience and self-reliance through livelihoods, entrepreneurship, savings, skills development, and economic empowerment.

SDG 3. Good Health and Well-being: We promote nutrition, menstrual health, WASH, preventive health education, psychosocial well-being, child protection, and healthy community practices.

SDG 4. Quality Education: We advance inclusive and equitable education through school access and retention, remedial learning, disability inclusion, parental engagement, life skills, learning materials, and pathways to lifelong learning.

SDG 5. Gender Equality: We empower women and girls, address harmful gender and social norms, promote equal participation, strengthen protection, and advance the rights of women, girls, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.

SDG 13. Climate Action: We strengthen community resilience through agroecology, climate-smart livelihoods, environmental education, ecosystem restoration, food security, and local-led climate action.
