Celebrating Progress and Community: Highlights from the “Intambwe Idasubira Inyuma” Graduation

On September 9th, 2024, we joyfully celebrated the “Intambwe Idasubira Inyuma Graduation”, marking three years of transformative impact within our community. This event was more than just a ceremony, it was a heartfelt reflection of resilience, empowerment, and the progress achieved through the graduation program. Over the past three years, participants have walked a powerful journey toward self-reliance, and this celebration served as a milestone of their unwavering commitment and growth.

A major highlight of the day was the official launch of two exciting initiatives that reflect our continued investment in talent and cultural pride: FMI Ubumuntu FC Academy, aimed at nurturing youth in sports, and Ibirezi n’Amasonga, a traditional cultural troupe formed under the FMI “Ubumuntu” initiative. These new additions to our work represent the next steps in building confident, skilled, and grounded young leaders within our community.

The celebration concluded with a thrilling football final between Muganza and Nyanza sectors. Cheers filled the air as Muganza clinched the championship cup, a moment that perfectly captured the spirit of healthy competition and unity that the program fosters. The event was honored by the presence of local leaders from Gisagara District and several partners whose continued support has been crucial to the program’s success.
